Crews are working to restore power to thousands of homes and businesses in the Halifax Regional Municipality on Friday morning.
According to the Nova Scotia Power outage map, more than 15,500 customers in the Bedford, Lower Sackville and Waverley areas are affected.
The outage began just before 10:30 a.m. and is due to a transmission interruption.
Estimated time of restoration is 12:30 p.m. Friday.
