Random things we learned on Hot Country mornings with Jody & Melody this morning….
We’ll start with some ‘On this day in History’ for July 22nd!
31 years ago – In 1994, O.J. Simpson pleaded “absolutely 100% not guilty” to double murder charges.
17 years ago – In 2008, Miley Cyrus released her second album “Breakout”. It was the first music she’d released separate from her TV show, but still mostly sounded like “Hannah Montana”.
14 years ago – In 2011, “Captain America: The First Avenger” was released.
Nine years ago – In 2016, “Star Trek Beyond” was released.
We also found out on the show…
M&M’s had a chance to be the candy featured in “E.T.”, but they turned it down. Reese’s Pieces jumped at the chance and saw a 65% jump in profits. We also learned that Jody would choose Reese’s Pieces over M&M’s!
AND lastly…A stuntwoman fell 30 feet during the hoverboard chase scene in “Back to the Future Part Two”.
Yes, that is true. During the hoverboard chase scene in “Back to the Future Part II”, stuntwoman Cheryl Wheeler-Dixon fell 30 feet after bouncing off a pillar and landed on concrete, sustaining serious facial and wrist injuries. She broke bones in her face, arm, and hand and that take, made the movie!
