Here in the Halifax area we’re playing host to some of the country’s best young lacrosse players at the 2025 Minor Box Lacrosse National Championships.
Games are now on until this Friday, August 15th when the gold medal games will occur.
The tournament has 32 provincial teams in from across the country who will compete in 114 games with more than 700 athletes with both females and males competing.
The event has 160 coaches, managers and volunteers to make it run smoothly.
Halifax has become a hotbed for lacrosse since the Halifax Thunderbirds came to town in 2019 with thousands of kids dreaming of becoming a Thunderbird someday.
Good luck to all teams in town this week, especially to Team Nova Scotia!
