Tyler Long, the Halifax Mooseheads Assistant Equipment Manager, finally got to meet one of his hockey idols yesterday, Cole Harbour’s Sidney Crosby!
The two met at the RBC rink in Burnside, the practice facility of the Mooseheads where Sidney was training for the upcoming NHL season.
Tyler, who has down syndrome, has become a fixture at the Mooseheads games over the last few years and is a huge part of the Herd.
Tyler gave Sidney one of his signed hockey cards.
Joanne, Tyler’s Mom says: “It was An honour for Tyler to meet Sid. A true ambassador for both Hockey and Nova Scotia.”
She also did a huge shout out to Benji Newson and Josh Crouse of the Mooseheads for making sure this picture of Tyler and Sidney Crosby happen.
