Today is “National Dog Day” and a survey that was done by a dog food company reveals that each year, dogs steal over $50 million worth of their owners’ possessions!
Other puppy findings:
75% of dogs steal underwear.
10% of pups have stolen cash and jewelry. Slippers, TV remote controls and toys are also on the list of the most stolen items.

Pugs are the most likely dog to steal their owners’ things followed by cocker spaniels, labradors and shih tzus…. can I say that on the radio??

Another survey reveals that 1 in 14 people has used his or her dog to attract a new mate.
-Also: 66% of dog owners won’t date someone who doesn’t get along with their canine companion.
90% of dog-owning women say their dogs have at least one quality they’d like to find in a spouse.
34% of women and 23% of men polled by the AKC agreed with the following statement: “If my dog were a human, he/she would be my boy/girlfriend.”
So perhaps give your dog some extra love here today on “National Dog Day!”
