Ten years ago today on a Friday, September 4th, 2015 at 1 pm Hot Country 1035 was born!
It was the start of the long Labour Day weekend on a sunny afternoon. The first song that was played was “This Is How We Roll” by Florida Georgia Line with Luke Bryan.
I’ve been lucky to be here on-air at Hot Country for the past 9 years and 2 months.
Over the past decade we’ve done a lot from our Hot Country Hangouts with so many of our friends from Dean Brody, the Reklaws, George Canyon, Jojo Mason, both twice, MacKenzie Porter, and Madeline Merlo to Brett Kissel, Jade Eagleson, Tyler Joe Miller, Robyn Ottolini, Aaron Goodvin, Aaron Pritchett both twice, Tim Hicks, and even Alan Doyle and many more, with more to come! It’s a pleasure to meet you, our Hot Country listeners in the Hangouts.

Our Cars R Us Toy Drives have made a Merry Christmas happen for thousands of families over the holiday seasons.

We’ve raised thousands of dollars for the Dartmouth General Hospital at our radiothon.
We went through the hurricanes together: Dorian, Fiona, and Lee. We got through the Covid pandemic together and some of Nova Scotia’s darkest days in April 2020 during the mass shooting.
We’ve had fun on summer time Friday nights with our Hot Country Party Cruises.

Hot Country was your concert connection to free tickets to see so many stars like Shania Twain, Old Dominion, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Dallas Smith and lots more.

I’ve been lucky to interview some of the biggest stars in Nashville like: Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley, Jordan Davis, Jess Moskaluke, Mitchell Tenpenny, Ashley Cooke, just to name a few.

So here’s to 10 years of keeping you informed, entertained and up to date with local information and hopefully putting a smile on your face to help you get through your day.

Thank you to our thousands of listeners for tuning into us over the past decade, here’s to many more good times and great memories with Hot Country 1035, because “This Is How We Roll!”
