This morning on Hot Country mornings with Jody & Melody we shared on the Country Music Catch Up that Morgan Wallen walked out with former Blue Jays slugger José Bautista at his Toronto show.
If you didn’t know, José is famous for his legendary 2015 ALDS bat flip after he hit a monster homerun. So naturally, Morgan wanted to imitate it and tried a bat flip of his own while heading through the stadium tunnel. From the crowd’s perspective, it looked perfect, however, the backstage video told a different story.
As Morgan launched the bat, it flew directly toward José’s wife ‘Neisha’, who was filming. The clip shows her getting clipped by the bat as she gasps and drops her phone…..Whoops!
Neisha assured everyone she was fine and José laughed it off admitting he encouraged Morgan to try the flip in the first place.
Morgan Wallen “I’m the Problem” Tour heads to Edmonton, Alberta next. Hopefully he leaves all of the sporting equipment at home. 😉
