The Halifax Macs annual Hockey Fights Cancer event is on Wednesday, November 26th at 7pm in the Halifax Forum.
Halifax U18 pioneered this event for the league in 2012.
In 2023, the Nova Scotia U18 Major Hockey League, NB/PEI U18 Hockey League and NS U16 AAA Hockey league have joined forces to hold league-wide Hockey Fights Cancer events each year throughout the season. The combined leagues raised a total of $47,401.74 in 2024.
On Wednesday, November 26th the Macs will host the Bage Valley Wildcats at 7pm in the Forum.
The Macs special guest for the night is Carter Myra, an associate player who just finished his cancer treatment and has resumed playing hockey fulltime with the Buccaneers and is a call up player for the Macs.

There’s an auction that will include an autographed Sidney Crosby jersey!
They’ll have popcorn, cotton candy and pizza available from Bella Vita Pizzeria , and other fundraising items including Chuck A Puck!
