Well, after 1,182 Moose games and 29 seasons, I finally got hit with a puck, in the back of the head.

It was on an the Mooseheads Oleg Kulebiakin’s puck clearance attempt, that led to a delay of game penalty.

While sitting in the box I said: “Oleg, after almost 30 years, I finally got hit by a puck. Ya got me!” In his Russian accent he said “I’m sorry.”

The puck shooter above, Oleg Kulebiakin.
I had just a sting and a small bump and a bag of peas used Sunday night on my noggin.
I’ve had a few land near my feet over the years, but nothing like this.
Friends asked if I cracked the puck…
I could hear the TSN “Puck Over Glass” song in my head all night.

Like my buddy Andy says “It would kill a real fella…”

We had a Chuck A Puck supporting the U13 AAA Metro West Force team headed to Quebec to represent the Mooseheads at the Quebec International Peewee Tournament in just a few weeks.

Good luck in Quebec, ladies.
The Halifax Hurricanes ringette team joined us pregame to hold the giant Mooseheads flag at centre ice. Photo below.

The Halifax Mooseheads fell 3-2 in overtime to the top team in the Western Division, the Drummondville Votigeurs today in Moose Country with 9,291 fans in the stands for “Girl Guides Day.”
The Herd’s Caylen Blake 2nd Star and Shawn Carrier the 1st Star.
Next home game is February 4th against the Newfoundland Regiment.
I’ll keep my head up for some more flying pucks that game, but hopefully I can go another 1,182 games before being hit again in the dome.
