The 2026 Halifax St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been cancelled again for the second straight year.
This year’s parade, that was scheduled for Sunday, March 15th, has been called off due to lack of interest in entries.
The 2025 parade was cancelled also, the organizers said the reason then was that they had not received confirmation at the time regarding the route.
The last parade held in downtown Halifax back in 2024, was the 17th anniversary for the parade.
Halifax St. Patrick’s Day Parade is usually organized by a group of volunteers for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Society.
It generally falls on the closest Saturday to St. Patty’s Day on March 17th.
