Cole Harbour’s Sidney Crosby has been named captain of Team Canada’s hockey squad at the 2026 Olympics in Italy.
The announcement yesterday included Connor McDavid and Cale Makar as the alternates captains.
This is the 38-year-olds third Olympics having scored “The Golden Goal” in 2010 in Vancouver, and then in Sochi in 2014 where Canada won Gold in the final blanking Sweden 3-0.
Canada will face its first action this Thursday at 10:40am (Atlantic) taking on Czechia, then on Friday the 13th it’s Switzerland with a puck drop at 4:10pm and on Sunday Team Canada takes on France at 11:40am

Good luck to our other Nova Scotians, former Mooseheads Nathan MacKinnon of Cole Harbour and Brad Marchand of Hammonds Plains.
Go Canada Gold!
