The QMJHL has announced its 2026 Hall of Fame class with four former players and one builder being inducted one of the league’s highest honours
One member being inducted is Marc-Andre Fleury the legendary Cape Breton “Screaming” Eagles goalie.
“The Flower” played 151 games in the QMJHL and was named the first overall pick in the 2003 NHL draft, still holding the title of the most recent goalie to ever be selected with the top pick.

His impressive career includes three Stanley Cups with Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009, 2016 and 2017, an Olympic gold medal, a Vezina trophy and the second-highest win mark of any goalie in NHL history. Quite a resume!
The induction ceremony will take place this September.
Marc-Andre still has close ties in Sydney and was an honorary Haligonian when he played for Team Canada at the 2003 World Juniors when Halifax hosted the tournament.
He’s also known as one of the best-ever pranksters in the NHL, just as former teammate Sidney Crosby.
Congrats “Flower” from Moose Country and Hot Country.
