A beloved diner in the Woodside area of Dartmouth is getting ready to open its doors again after a fire destroyed a part of the strip mall it is in.
An abandoned old Sobeys went up in flames nearly one month ago on Pleasant Street.
The Pleasant Street Diner had to shut down for weeks for clean-up and to make sure the establishment was free of any “lingering toxins”.
Now, in just a couple of days, they will welcome patrons in again.
“After several weeks of extensive restoration, we are ready to safely open our doors again,” says the diner in a social media post. “Thursday, March 5, we welcome back all of our staff and wonderful customers.”
