A 30-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 41-year-old man in Upper Musquodoboit.
RCMP say emergency crews were called to Highway 224 around 1:20 p.m. on May 20 for a report of a man in medical distress.
First responders found the man in cardiac arrest with physical injuries.
He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Police say investigators determined the man had been involved in a physical altercation earlier that day.
Subsequently, a 30-year-old from Sipekne’katik was arrested on May 23 and has been charged with manslaughter.
He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on May 25.
The investigation is being led by the RCMP/HRP Integrated Special Investigation Section.
