Public Health’s Mobile Unit will be heading to the Halifax area this week to offer drop-in COVID-19 testing.
Health officials say testing those who show no symptoms has been one of the main tools that has helped to limit the spread of the virus in Nova Scotia.
Residents are reminded even if you have you have mild symptoms like a sore throat, a runny/congested nose or headache, you should get tested.
The Public Health Mobile Unit will be available for drop-in testing at the following locations:
• LWF Community Hall (843 Fall River Road, Fall River)
Wednesday, July 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Woodside Ferry Terminal (9 Atlantic Street, Dartmouth) – outside*
Thursday, July 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Halifax Transit Lacewood Terminal (320 Lacewood Drive, Halifax) – outside*
Thursday, July 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
*Public Health Mobile Units offering testing outside are weather dependent.
COVID-19 vaccines are not available at these clinics, but staff are able to help you with booking your vaccine appointment and can answer any questions you might have.
