Police have recovered remains in the search for Arlene McLean, who was reported missing from Eastern Passage in 1999.
She was last seen leaving her home on September 8th, 1999 around 8:30 p.m. to go for a drive. The circumstances of her disappearance were deemed suspicious by Halifax RCMP at the time.
McLean was 28-years-old when she disappeared.
The Integrated RCMP/HRP Special Investigation Section of the Criminal Investigation Division says the investigation is ongoing and the are working with the Medical Examiner’s office to conclusively identify the remains.
They say more information will be provided when available.
