Halifax’s Ellie Black will compete for a medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
Her availability was in doubt due to an ankle injury but Team Canada has confirmed she’s ready for competition.
The Canadian Olympic Committee and Gymnastics Canada revealed last week the 25-year-old sprained her ankle during a training session on Tuesday, adding she made the decision to withdraw from the all-around event.
The beam final will take place early Tuesday morning. The event begins at 5:50 a.m. (our time).
