A reminder for those who plan to use write-in ballots to vote in the 41st Provincial Election.
According to Elections Nova Scotia, in order for a ballot to count in the election, it must be received by 8p.m. on August 17.
If voters feel there isn’t enough time to return their write-in ballot by mail, they can return their ballot in person to their returning office, or have it returned by an agent on their behalf.
Applications can still be made to vote by write-in ballot in-person or through returning offices.
The deadline to apply for a write-in ballot is Saturday, August 14 at 6p.m. (out of district) or Tuesday, August 17 at 3p.m. (in district)
