Public Health is warning of a potential exposure to COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.
The health authority has also issued a correction to the exposure notice issued on Saturday, August 14th.
Anyone who worked at or visited the following locations on the specified dates and times should visit book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.
You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you.
Low-Risk Exposure:
For the following locations, if you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your test result.
If you have symptoms you are required to self-isolate while you wait for your test result.
- Atlantic Superstore (5178 St. Margaret’s Bay Rd., Upper Tantallon) on August 10 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 24.
- Sobeys (68 Robie St., Truro) on August 13 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 27.
- Cineplex (325 Prince St., Sydney) on August 13 between 6:10 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 27.
Moderate Risk Exposure:
If fully or partially vaccinated, please follow the instructions noted in this table for moderate risk contacts.
Regardless of whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms, those present at the following locations on the named dates and times for at least 15 minutes are required to self-isolate while waiting for their test result.
If you get a negative result, you do not need to keep self-isolating, however, you are asked to get retested 6-8 days and 12-14 days after this exposure.
If you get a positive result, you will be contacted by Public Health about what to do next.
*TIME CORRECTION* The Links at Brunello – Patio Restaurant (120 Brunello Blvd, Timberlea) on August 12 between 4:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 26.
- Jimolly’s Bakery Cafe (76 Inglis Place, Truro) on
- Aug. 11 between 11 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
- Aug. 13 from 12 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 27.
- Simeon’s Family Restaurant (581 Grand Lake Rd., Sydney) on August 9 between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 23.
- A&W (314 Prince St., Sydney) on August 13 between 5:50 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 27.
- Alexandra’s Pizza (6 Sterling Rd, Glace Bay) on August 14 between 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 28.
High Risk Exposure
Anyone who was on the following flight in the specified rows and seats are required to follow the isolation and testing instructions in this table as a high risk contact.
- Flair 8827 travelling on August 8 from Montreal (7:45 p.m. EDT) to Halifax (9:50 p.m. ADT). Passengers in rows 6 to 12, seats A, B, C and D. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, August 22.
