The Department of Health and Wellness is reporting 11 new cases of COVID-19 and 18 recoveries.
Seven of the cases are in Central Zone. Three are related to travel. Four are close contacts of previously reported cases.
Two cases are in Northern Zone and are close contacts of previously reported cases.
Two cases are in Western Zone and are related to travel.
As of today, Nova Scotia has 49 active cases of COVID-19. There are currently no hospitalizations.
On Aug. 23, Nova Scotia Health Authority’s labs completed 2,387 tests.
As of Aug. 23, 1,427,747 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. Of those, 675,669 Nova Scotians have received their second dose.
Since April 1, there have been 4,240 positive COVID-19 cases and 27 deaths. Cases range in age from under 10 to over 90. There are 4,164 resolved cases.
