For 30 years now sun seekers going to Bayswater Beach have seen a familiar sight, Sheila’s Canteen!
Sheila started out in 1991 working out of a trailer and progressed to today’s wagon that’s become a fixture on the roadside across from Bayswater Provincial Park.
There are two locations, Sheila’s One and Sheila’s Two in Hubbards.
There are pictures at the Bayswater location of the changes over the years:
Generations have enjoyed the burgers, hot dogs, fries, ice creams and so much more including fried dill pickles!
It’s a tradition for my family to drop by and say hello while taking a break from the beach.
My wife and I were there last Sunday and paid a visit. The water was warm, “once ya get in…”
Congrats on 30 years Sheila, that’s a LOT of fries and onion rings!
Here’s to 30 more years at Bayswater!
