Public Health is warning of potential exposures to COVID-19 in the Northern Zone and on several flights.
Anyone who worked at or visited the following location on the specified date and times should book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.
You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you.
Low Risk Exposure:
For the following location, if you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your test result.
If you have symptoms you are required to self-isolate while you wait for your test result.
- Steinhardt Distillery (5963 NS-245, Antigonish) on August 24 between 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 7.
High Risk Exposures:
Anyone who was on the following flights in the specified rows and seats are required to follow the isolation and testing instructions in this table as a high risk contact.
- Air Canada 618 travelling on August 19 from Toronto (scheduled departure: 8:55 p.m., actual departure: 11:30 p.m.) to Halifax (scheduled arrival: 11:56 p.m., actual arrival: 2:30 a.m. on August 20). Passengers in rows 18 to 24, seats A, B, C and D. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 3.
- Air Canada 617 travelling on August 22 from Halifax (7:00 p.m.) to Toronto (8:20 p.m.). Passengers in rows 18 to 24, seats C, D, E and F. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 5.
- Air Canada 7556 travelling on August 24 from Montreal (scheduled departure: 1:15 p.m., actual departure: 2:59 p.m.) to Halifax (scheduled arrival: 3:45 p.m., actual arrival: 5:29 p.m.). Passengers in rows 23 to 29, seats A, C and D. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 7. z
- WestJet 228 travelling on August 22 from Calgary (11:22 p.m.) to Halifax (7:11 a.m. on August 23). Passengers in rows 9 to 15, seats C, D, E and F. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 6.
