
Nova Scotia Health Drug Alert.
Public Health is out with a drug alert for the Halifax area.
Nova Scotia Health issuing the advisory on Twitter on Thursday.
It says a community partner has told them a drug being sold as Xanax Bars may be tainted with an unknown opioid.

Xanax is classified as a benzodiazepine drug, which is frequently used to treat anxiety disorders due to its calming effects.
Xanax bars are the street name for the long, tubular pill.
The warning also applies to the South Shore, including Bridgewater and Chester.
