Public Health is warning of potential exposures to COVID-19 in the Halifax area.
Anyone who worked at or visited the following locations on the specified dates and times should book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.
You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you.
Low Risk Exposures:
For the following locations, if you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your test result.
If you have symptoms you are required to self-isolate while you wait for your test result.
- Fit4Less – excluding the weight area (650 Portland St, Dartmouth) on August 30 between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 13.
- NSLC (125 King St., North Sydney) on September 4 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 18.
High Risk Exposures:
Regardless of whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms, those present at the following location on the named date and time for at least 15 minutes are required to follow the self-isolation instructions noted in this table for a high risk exposure, based on your vaccination status.
COVID-19 testing is also recommended and if you get a positive result, you will be contacted by Public Health about what to do next.

**The potential exposure to COVID-19 on the following flight was reported after the 14 day isolation and self-monitoring for symptoms period. As a precaution, anyone who was on the following flight in the specified rows and seats should book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have COVID-19 symptoms.
- Air Canada 606 travelling on August 20 from Toronto (10:55 a.m.) to Halifax (1:56 p.m.). Passengers in rows 1-4, seats C, D and F. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 3.
