Memories on the minds of many in rural Nova Scotia as they gather to talk about the mass shooting.
A series of Open Houses are being held this week by the Mass Casualty Commission.
The events will allow the commission to share and collect information as part of its investigation to piece together what happened in April 2020.
That’s when a lone gunman disguised as a police officer killed 22 people in central and northern Nova Scotia.
The commission says its work will be used to draft recommendations to help enhance public safety in the province.
About fifty people attended the first session in Debert on Sunday.
The community centre setting was informal, allowing participants to chat in small groups and speak with inquiry investigators.
The next session is scheduled on Monday afternoon in Truro.
