Halifax is getting soaked on Wednesday.
Environment Canada is out with a rainfall warning for our region along with the south shore.
It’s predicting we could see up to 100 mm in some areas of the province.
Halifax is expected to receive around 50 mm. Up to 25 mm is expected Wednesday with 10-20 mm overnight.
Another 10 mm will fall Thursday morning before the wet weather tapers off.
Special weather statements have been issued for Annapolis, Digby, Hants, and Kings counties.
The national weather forecaster warns the rain will be heavy and accompanied by strong winds, which means power outages and flooding are possible.
It recommends you keep catch basins clear of leaves to prevent water from pooling on the roads.
