The Mounties are no longer located on Maple Street in Pictou Landing First Nation.
Police say officers are, however, still in the area as the matter remains under investigation.

Police had asked residents to avoid the area on Thursday morning as they responded to an incident involving people barricaded inside a home.
Pictou Landing First Nation Chief Andrea Paul reported on Facebook the Mounties had been called to investigate a report of shots fired.

Police are responding to a situation on Maple Street involving people barricaded in a home.
In a Twitter statement, RCMP say the scene is currently contained.

Pictou Landing First Nation Chief Andrea Paul is also asking residents to avoid the area.
In a Facebook post, Paul says Pictou RCMP are investigating a report of shots fired on Maple Street.
Residents are asked not to post the whereabouts and actions of officers on social media.
