The victim of a murder in Dartmouth over the weekend has been identified as the accused in a high-profile sexual assault case.
Halifax Regional Police say Alexander Joseph Frederick Thomas of East Preston was found dead at a home on Braeside Court early Saturday morning.
Thomas was arrested last year after Carrie Low reported she had been abducted outside a Dartmouth bar in 2018 and sexually assaulted by at least two men.
The Elizabeth Fry Society says in a statement Low is shaken and concerned about the impact it may have on her case.
Thomas was set to return to court this month on charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement.
