A 27-year-old woman who was struck in a crosswalk Wednesday morning has died.
She was rushed to the hospital after getting hit in the 300 block of Pleasant Street at around 8:15 a.m.
The driver, a 41-year-old woman, has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
The investigation is ongoing.
Pedestrian hit by car in Dartmouth
A woman has been rushed to hospital after getting hit by a car in Dartmouth.
Halifax Regional Police responded to the 300 block of Pleasant Street just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
They say she has life-threatening injuries.
Pleasant Street was closed to traffic between Atlantic Street and Mount Hope Avenue due to the investigation.
It reopened at around 11:30 a.m.
Police ask you to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
