Just when you thought it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas, a rainfall warning has been issued for Halifax.
Environment Canada expects the heavy rainfall will begin around noon on Monday and it won’t stop until Tuesday morning.
We’re expected to get up to 50 mm.
“A large low-pressure system will give rain at times heavy along parts of the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia, including Cape Breton Island,” the weather statement says. “This will begin near noon over western areas and will spread east to Cape Breton Island by this evening. The rain will end by Tuesday morning for mainland Nova Scotia and near noon for Cape Breton.”
The wet weather will hit the Atlantic Coast, from Halifax County east to Southern Cape Breton.

Environment Canada is out with a rainfall warning for Halifax.
The national weather forecaster warns the storm could reduce visibility if you’re hitting the roads and cause flooding in some areas.
