Nova Scotia Power’s map is showing the bulk of outages have now been restored.
Scattered outages remain in the province impacting just over 1,000 customers.

UPDATE: 7:30 a.m. on December 7th.
Nova Scotia Power is reporting a significant drop in the number of customers who are without electricity on Tuesday morning.
The outage map is showing just over 14,000 homes and businesses are off the grid as of 7:30 a.m.
There are about 9,000 impacted customers in the Halifax area.
At its peak, 25,000 customers were without power.
The bulk of the outages have been restored in the Dartmouth area.

Thousands of Nova Scotias are waking up in the dark on Tuesday morning.
A heavy rain and wind storm has knocked out the electricity to more than 25,000 businesses and homes as of 5 a.m.
Nova Scotia Power’s outage map is reporting the bulk of the outages are in the Halifax area.
That includes nearly 12,000 in Dartmouth and more than 6,000 in Halifax.
The cause is being cited as high winds.
You could also see flashes of lightning overnight as the storm surged through the region.
Most areas are expected to have power restored by 2 p.m.
