Officials have shut down Victoria Road again at the turnoff with the MacKay Bridge to remove light posts from the area.
Halifax Harbour Bridges calls it an “emergency removal of dangerous lighting masts” after one toppled in high winds over the weekend.
The 20-metre post fell across two lanes of traffic, damaging two cars.
No one was hurt.

An inspection found evidence of metal fatigue. Thirteen other lighting masts were examined, and three showed possible problems.
They were taken down.
The masts were installed in 2011 and underwent an inspection three years ago when they switched to an LED system.
HHB says there was no sign of problems at that time.
Drivers are advised to expect detours throughout the day.
