The speed limit is being lowered to 40 km/h on more than a dozen street around Cowie Hill, Herring Cove and Old Sambro Road.
The reduction in these areas is being implemented following provincial approval based on available data and an assessment.
The impacted streets within the boundary are:

- Brighton Avenue
- Bromley Road
- Cavendish Road
- Highfield Street
- Shepherd Road
- Drumdonald Road
- Abbey Road
- Darjeeling Drive
- Punch Bowl Drive
- Grenoble Court
- Mont Street
- Hillary Street
- Mayor Avenue
- Layton Road
- Trelyn Road
- Penny Avenue
Municipal staff say they continue to assess other neighbourhoods for possible speed reduction in the future.
