New Glasgow Regional Police say there was a large structure fire this morning that affected three businesses and four apartments, all of which suffered smoke and fire damage.
Police say multiple agencies responded to the scene on Stellarton Road around five o’clock this morning.
They say all occupants escaped safely.
Two of the apartments were unoccupied, in total three people were inside the other two apartments at the time.
The Canadian Red Cross will be providing emergency lodging, meals, winter clothing and other basics to those who were displaced
Stellarton Road is closed to traffic from Duff Street to Campbell’s Road.
Police say the fire is under investigation.
