The legacy of actress Betty White is living on at your local animal shelter.
The Nova Scotia SPCA has announced they received more than $78,000 in donations through the Betty White Challenge.
Animal lovers were asked to show their support for the late comedian to mark what would have been her 100th birthday on January 17th.
This past Monday would have been Betty White’s 100th birthday. In her memory, you joined a beautiful movement to help a cause Betty cared deeply about… hurt and homeless pets.

People were encouraged to donate $5 to local animal shelters in Betty’s name.
The animal shelter says the money will help thousands of pets receive lifesaving care and safe sheltering.
The SPCA will also be naming their next kitty or puppy after Betty.
