A 54-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a weekend stabbing near Truro.
RCMP were called to the incident on Anita Crescent in Truro Heights at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The Mounties say they found a 51-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to her head and upper body.
She was taken to hospital in Truro for serious, non-life-threatening injuries, and was later transferred to a hospital in Halifax.
Shawn David Olsen of Truro Heights has also been charged with uttering threats and two counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a release order.
He has been remanded into custody with a court appearance set for Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
The investigation is continuing and is being assisted by the RCMP Forensic Identification Section.
