An estimated 10,000 people at an event dubbed as the #SheTheNorth rally on Sunday afternoon to celebrate her U.S. Open singles title.
Hundreds of fans arrived hours in advance and by the time she hit the stage the crowd was into the thousands.
The 19-year-old was presented a key to the city by Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie, who also unveiled an “Andreescu Way” street sign.
