You’re going to want to grab your umbrella on Tuesday.
Halifax remains under a rainfall warning as a messy system gets ready to dump 30-60 mm of rain on the region.
Environment Canada says the Eastern Shore and Southern Cape Breton could see 50 to 90 mm.
“Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.” the rainfall warning states. “Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.”
The national weather forecaster is also predicting strong wind gusts.
They could gust up to 80 km per hour by the afternoon.
Environment Canada recommends keeping a close watch on the forecast.
“Persons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions,” Environment Canada advises. “Watch for updated statements.”
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
