The winter parking ban will be enforced in Halifax overnight due to a winter storm.
A snowfall warning is in effect for parts of Nova Scotia on Friday with 15-20 centimetres expected.
Environment Canada says the alert extends from Digby County, around Yarmouth and up the South Shore to Halifax.
The snow will fall throughout the day and into the evening.
The Halifax Regional Centre for Education said it was not closing schools as the forecast was not likely to impact the afternoon dismissal.
