Money for mental health initiatives in our province.
The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia will receive three million dollars from the provincial government to help support many different projects.
The organizations that are eligible can apply for the grants this summer.
In a release, Starr Cunningham, President and CEO of the foundation says the support will not only positively change lives, it will save them.
She says this will empower organizations across the province, and allow them to expand services.
Priority will be given to Indigenous, 2SLGBTIQ+ and African Nova Scotian communities, as well as newcomers and those with disabilities.
Minister of Mental Health and Addictions Brian Comer says the pandemic has been a challenging time, especially for those already facing barriers to accessing support.
