The MP that represents Portapique is reflecting on the two-year anniversary of the Nova Scotia mass shootings.
Dr. Stephen Ellis of Cumberland-Colchester says we continue to question the whys and how’s of this terrible tragedy.
“The feelings continue to be raw, the questions continue to be great, and the sorrow experienced continues to be at times overwhelming,” says Dr. Ellis.
He made the comments as part of a video released by the Conservative Party of Canada.
West Nova MP Chris d’Entremont says the community will always live with the tragedy, but it’s important to remain strong and united to keep the memory of the victims alive.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a statement yesterday.
He said Canadians continue to hold those living with the “heartbreaking loss” in their hearts.
Trudeau also paid tribute to Constables Heidi Stevenson and Chad Morrison.
He says they faced danger without hesitation to save lives that day.
Trudeau adds Canadians continue to be inspired by the strength and resilience of Nova Scotians.
