Halifax Regional Police are searching for a driver after they say a teen was offered a ride while walking in a Dartmouth neighbourhood.
Police say a man followed the 13-year-old who was walking to school in the area of Lucien Drive, Whynette Place and Spar Crescent at around 8 a.m on Monday.
“At one point, the driver of the vehicle stopped and asked the youth if they wanted a drive,” a news release says. “The youth did the right thing and ran away.”
The teen told an adult who reported the incident to the police.
The man is described as white, in his fifties, with a thin build, grey hair and a full beard. The vehicle is described as a red Dodge Caravan.
