Another rocky drive if you’re behind the wheel of a diesel.
The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board has announced it will use the interrupter clause at midnight.
“This change is necessary due to significant shifts in the market price of diesel oil. The pump price will be changed at midnight,” a news release says.
It’s the third time it’s been invoked this week and marks the fourth change in the price of diesel.
The clause is used to change the price by at least six cents per litre.
Reports indicate it will be an increase at midnight Friday into Saturday. The price of gas will not be impacted.
On Friday, for the regular weekly adjustment, Nova Scotians woke up to a diesel increase of 8 cents with a max price as high as $2.39 depending on where you live.
There will be no change in the price of gasoline, which is approaching or already costs $1.80 per litre for regular self-serve in some areas.
