CNIB Nova Scotia will host their second annual Over the Edge urban repelling fundraising event on September 16th and 17th. Daring individuals will repel 13 breathtaking stories down The Westin in support of Nova Scotians living with vision loss.
The funds raised will support CNIB’s special programs, services, and resources to help Nova Scotians living with vision loss overcome isolation and build their confidence and skills.
For more than 100 years, CNIB has been empowering people impacted by blindness to live the lives they want to live. They deliver innovative programs and are powerful advocates that empower people impacted by blindness to live their dreams and tear down barriers to inclusion. Their work as a blind foundation is powered by a network of volunteers, donors, and partners from coast to coast.
“Over the Edge is a thrilling opportunity where one gets to have the once-in-a-lifetime experience of rappelling down the Westin Nova Scotian, all while supporting blind and partially sighted Nova Scotians. I invite anyone with a sense of adventure to join me and go Over the Edge!” – Shelly Adams (Manager, Community Engagement, CNIB NS/PEI)
The fundraising minimum for each Over the Edge rappeler is $750 with a non-refundable $50 registration fee that goes towards that goal. Teams can choose to rappel together or support one rappeler in their fundraising goals.
