Halifax Regional Police are investigating after they say a youth was sexually assaulted near a city park on Thursday.
Police were called to Peace and Friendship Park on Hollis Street at around 11:15 a.m.
They say a man walked up to a group of girls, who he didn’t know, and touched one of them “in a sexual manner.”
He then ran away from the area.
The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 25 to 35-years-old, with a thin build and long brown hair in a ponytail.
At the time he was wearing a black and white ball cap, a faded red shirt, and cargo pants
Police are asking anyone with information or video from the area to call 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers.
