Spryfield Days are back this weekend including the return of the Fun-DUCT-Raiser this Saturday.
After not happening the last two years because of the pandemic, the Fun-DUCT-Raiser returns at Long Lake Park at 1pm.
So what the duck is this race all about? Participants CONSTRUCT A BOAT using only TWO items: cardboard and duct tape.
They’ll provide the duct tape, generously donated by 3M Canada!
Hit up your friends, family, colleagues…and gather pledges.
Bring your boat to Long Lake Park, put it in the water, and then paddle against other boaters to a buoy and back. Easy cheesy!
I’ll be the MC this Saturday for this fun event, with all proceeds going towards the not-for-profit Long Lake Provincial Park Association.

Also, as a part of Spryfield Days, there’ll be children’s events like a train, bouncy castles, cotton candy, BBQ, and more!
Plus, a Business Trade Show and Community Expo, Beer Tent and Food Truck Rally, Live music and more at the J. Albert Walker Community Sports Field from 3-9:30.
Sundays Events include a Strawberry Shortcake Social from 2-4 at the Spryfield Urban Farm Museum.
