I was lucky back on the weekend to be at Play On! Ottawa 2022, as it was an incredible experience to be the events Public Address Announcer.
I’ve been fortunate to be a part of Play On! since 2005 here in Halifax, so this past weekend was another milestone added to this list.
Play On! Ottawa 2022 hosted the first-ever sporting event at the foot of Parliament Hill on Wellington Street in downtown Ottawa.
Teams from across the region joined together for the joy of Canada’s national pass time and filled the historic area to play street hockey.
To be standing at Parliament Hill, watch the flag flying above the House of Commons as I announced the national anthem singer, thirteen year old Bella, before the very first hockey ball was dropped Saturday morning, was a proud Canadian moment!

It was so Canadian playing street hockey in front of Parliament Hill, another great Play On! memory.
I’m looking forward to announcing again at the Moncton event this weekend.
Play On! is hoping to return to Halifax in 2023.
