World Junior pre-tournament games begin tonight in downtown Halifax at the Scotiabank Centre with Czechia facing Latvia.
By the way, Team Canada blanked Switzerland 6-0 last night in Moncton last in an exhibition game.
The world’s best under-20 hockey players from 10 countries all around the globe will compete for gold on Canadian ice at the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship between here and Moncton.
You can visit the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship Explore NB Fan Fest at the Halifax Convention Centre from Dec. 26-31, 2-7 pm, and Jan. 2, 4, and 5, 2-10 pm.
Festivities include live entertainment, viewing parties on big screens, hot stoves, bouncy castles, face painters, mascots, merchandise & more!
Tonight is the Halifax start of the tourney that will kick into high gear this Monday on Boxing Day when Team Canada will face the Czechia.
Four games are scheduled are to be played on Boxing Day with two in Halifax and two in Moncton, N.B.
Halifax last hosted the Word Juniors twenty years ago in 2003, that time we co-hosted with Sydney.
