Twenty-seven per cent of Canadians admit to having used cannabis in the past year.
The Canadian Cannabis Survey says that’s a 25% increase from 2021.
It’s highest among those in the 20 to 24 age group, followed by those 16 to 19.
The use among that age group is actually back to what it was before cannabis use became legal in Canada.
Approximately half also reported using cannabis 3 days per month or less, and 18% reported daily cannabis use.
They survey also found that 35% of users reported they were stoned or high for up 1 to 2 hours.
Sixty-one per cent also stated that they purchased their cannabis from a legal store.
About three per cent obtained it from an illegal website or store.
