There are tons of stories about record executives saying no to new artists like The Beatles and Elvis . . . and then, I assume, spending the rest of their lives kicking themselves in the butt.
Well, somebody once said no to LUKE COMBS, and he shared that story Wednesday on Twitter.
Quote, “When I was just getting started, I had one of my first meetings in Nashville, only to be told the songs I shared that day weren’t good enough. They all went #1. Moral of the story, don’t ever let anyone stop you from chasing your dreams.”
Luke was responding to someone’s thread, and it’s a pretty good question. Here it is, quote, “Tell me a story about yourself that sounds like a lie but is absolutely true.”
(This might be the same executive Luke talked about last summer. But even if it is, it’s interesting to know that it’s still on his mind. Plus, his advice to “chase your dreams” is always a worthwhile message.)
